Downtown Austin: Approx. 25 Projects Emerging over the Next Three Years

Approximately twenty-five projects are planned to be built in Downtown Austin over the next three years including seventeen condominium projects and eight non-condominium projects. Several projects are already underway and others are yet to break ground in response to downtown Austin's real estate demand.

Even though Austin is the 16th largest city in the nation, there is no sign of a slow down. This steady growth is coming from a variety of factors including job growth...the backbone of any emerging market. The recovery and re-emergence of technology trade has continued to add jobs to the area while a more diversified local economy has emerged from the dot com era. In addition, Austin has been identified as one of the most desirable locations for the young as well as the young at heart based on factors ranging from the quality of life to the overall cost of living.
