Emerging Districts Leading the Way in Austin’s Urban Core Growth

The urban core of Austin is experiencing exciting growth and revitalization. Whereas past growth was defined by the emergence of an individual business or building, the fabric of downtown and the urban core is being defined by mixed-use districts that not only attract businesses and retailers but residents. Whether you live in the AMLI downtown above the Second Retail District, in the Austin City Lofts one block away from the new Whole Foods Headquarters, in Milago immediately adjacent to the Town Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail or in the Saltillo Lofts across the street from the commuter rail station…the Austinite’s lifestyle is more and more being defined by convenience and simplicity.

Over the next few months, the emerging districts in Austin’s urban core will be discussed highlighting existing buildings, projects on the horizon as well as the people and businesses that inhabit them. Stay tuned for details on the following distrcits in upcoming newsletters:

  1. Rainey Street District (aka Waterfront District)
  2. West End Market District
  3. South Congress District
  4. South Lamar District
  5. North Loop District
  6. East End District

In the meantime, please feel free to email bryan@urbanspacerealtors.com or call me with any questions regarding emerging projects in these districts.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
